Park InformationSoutheastway Park is a 188-acre Regional Nature Park managed under the Environmental Education Division of the Indianapolis Parks and Recreation Dept. The park is located in the southeast corner of Marion County easily accessible from I-74 at the the Acton Road exit. There are a variety of natural habitats on the property including: 80 acres of forest, a pond and wetland, open fields and meadows, a prairie preserve and Buck Creek. The park offers numerous environmental education programs and special events throughout the year. The main operations of the park are broken down into 4 major areas: Environmental Education Programming, Shelter and Site rentals, Hayrides and Summer Camps.
Mission StatementThe mission of Southeastway Park is to foster understanding and appreciation of nature through preservation and enhancement of diverse natural habitats while offering individuals, families and small groups a safe, secure and accessible place for enjoyment and recreation.
