Park Information

Southeastway Park is a 188-acre Regional Nature Park managed under the Environmental Education Division of the Indianapolis Parks and Recreation Dept. The park is located in the southeast corner of Marion County easily accessible from I-74 at the the Acton Road exit. There are a variety of natural habitats on the property including: 80 acres of forest, a pond and wetland, open fields and meadows, a prairie preserve and Buck Creek. The park offers numerous environmental education programs and special events throughout the year. The main operations of the park are broken down into 4 major areas: Environmental Education Programming, Shelter and Site rentals, Hayrides and Summer Camps.


Mission Statement

The mission of Southeastway Park is to foster understanding and appreciation of nature through preservation and enhancement of diverse natural habitats while offering individuals, families and small groups a safe, secure and accessible place for enjoyment and recreation.

What's Happening Now:


Summer Camp Registrations

We our now taking registrations for our summer camps. Camps at Southeastway feature outdoor fun and education and are for ages 4-15. Call the park office today to sign up your camper. 
 


Spring Programs
 
Southeastway Park offers many environmental programs for school, scout and other youth groups. Popular winter and spring programs include Maple Syrup, Habitats, Pond Study, Signs of Spring and lots more. Please call the park office for more information. ​
 



Shelter Rentals
 
We are now taking reservations for shelters and pincic sites for 2013. A picnic shelter is the perfect place for your family reunion or church picnic. Cost is $100 for the day for Marion County residents and $120 a day for out of county residents.
